Vouchers for Spay & Neuter of Cats and Dogs
Go to Kern Humane Society
2111 Brundage Lane, on the first Saturday of every month from 10 am to 3 pm. They have vouchers for $20 off spay/neuter surgery for dogs, $25 off for female cats and $15 off for male cats.
If you have an appointment before the next coupon day, you can go to the Thrift Shop, Tuesday through Saturday, 10 am to 3 pm, and ask for a voucher.
If you live outside the metro Bakersfield area, you can call Kern Humane Society at 325-2589, and ask about having a voucher mailed to you. You can also mail a request for vouchers. Include the name and sex of your pet(s), and a self-addressed, stamped envelope.

The City of Bakersfield
Has $40 vouchers only for dogs. You must FIRST make an appointment at Critters Without Litters, then go to the shelter at 201 S. Mt. Vernon, Tuesday through Saturday from 10 am to 4 pm. Vouchers can also be obtained by going to the BPD Animal Control office at City Hall South, 1501 Truxtun Avenue, Second Floor, #339, Monday through Friday, 8 am to 5 pm. The City also distributes vouchers at its monthly licensing clinics.
