Kern River Valley Community Cats Snip & Tip Program
Friends Foundation has begun a Trap, Neuter and Release program, KRV Community Cats Snip & Tip, for the community cats in the Kern River Valley.
The goal of TNR programs is to trap, alter, vaccinate, 'tip' the right ear, and then return them to their caretaker. TNR is the ONLY proven, humane method that has been shown to yield smaller, healthier and better behaving colonies that can be better managed by their caretakers.
As you can imagine, this will be an enormous task since, as of last count, we have located 600 cats!
The surgery costs $60 per cat. With your generous support, we can humanely control community cat colonies and make a difference in the lives of the cats and Kern River Valley residents.
